Google has just released its annual trending online searches for the year, and the iPhone 6 easily took the first position in the Consumer Electronics category.
The Apple smartphone was followed by the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Nexus 6, the Moto G, the Samsung Note 4, the fan favorite LG G3 and the Xbox One console from Microsoft. Rounding up the top ten is the Apple Watch at eighth, the now cancelled Nokia X, and finally the iPad Air.
Interesting, nevertheless, as the second generation iPad Air only came out towards the end of the year, making it understandable that people did not add in an extra character when searching.
Still, a pretty good showing from Apple.
In fact, the iPhone topping the Consumer Electronics chart this way is something that all have become accustomed to in recent times. The rest of the products in the list are very much expected too.
You can take a look at the full list here on Google Top Charts website.
Several other trends are also listed, along with an uplifting YouTube video and some few neat graphic showing what people searched for in 2014.
Everything from the death of Robin Williams to the disappearance of flight MH370 and the Rosetta mission are in the list, which makes for a very interesting read.
